Troubleshoot a connection to The Forge in Puppet Enterprise

Use a DNS name to connect to The Forge in Puppet Enterprise. Don’t use specific IP ranges.

Solution

To connect to The Forge in PE, follow these steps:

1. Update the IP address ranges to the DNS name forge.puppet.com or forgeapi.puppet.com.

2. To find the IP address ranges, go to Locations and IP address ranges of CloudFront edge servers in the AWS Developer Guide.

3. Update your Puppetfile.
